Three pounds from my first checkpoint and the road snacks are behaving

I live out of a duffel most weeks, so my “kitchen” is a mini-fridge and a sad little coffee station. I’m 2.9 lb from my first 10% milestone, which feels absurdly close and also like it might take a month.

I’m not doing anything dramatic: protein shake in the shaker, grocery-store rotisserie chicken, baby carrots, and whatever veggie doesn’t get weird in a cooler. The funny part is I used to plan around what I could eat in transit; now I plan around getting enough protein and a walk before the day gets loud.

I keep wanting to sprint to the finish, but sprinting usually means forgetting lunch and then inhaling pretzels at 4 p.m. So I’m treating these last few pounds like any other travel week: repeat meals, water bottle, earlier bedtime.

For anyone who hit a first milestone while living out of a bag—did you mark it somehow, or just keep rolling?
