Writing this at 2am so forgive the formatting. Sophomore, meal plan plus a mini fridge held together with tape, started this about six weeks ago. Nobody warned me my appetite would nosedive in week two instead of like week eight.
I meal-prepped eight chicken thighs on a Sunday like a normal, functional person. By Wednesday I couldn't look at them. Threw out $22 of food, which for me is basically a textbook.
What actually works: plain Greek yogurt cups, tuna pouches, cottage cheese, and hard-boiled eggs I grab from the dining hall (three at a time, no shame). Also learned I can't finish a full protein shake in one sitting anymore, so I split it into two cups and stir instant coffee into one. Feels fancy. Costs nothing.
Down 11 lbs in six weeks, which is cool, but mostly I'm tired of my brain and my stomach running on different schedules. Anyone got a cheap protein that doesn't get weird after two bites?
