The loose skin question I cart around the neighborhood loop

I’m 57, kids launched, and I’ve become one of those people who walks the same after-dinner loop. Down 52 pounds over about 14 months. I cook more than I have in years—beans, roasted vegetables, chicken I actually season now. The part I didn’t expect is how much I notice the extra skin, especially on my upper arms and belly. Some days it feels like a soft reminder; other days it just annoys me in the mirror. I know the internet loves a tidy answer, but I’m more curious about lived experience. For those further out, did yours change gradually, or did your focus shift toward strength, posture, and clothes that feel good? I’m not looking for a protocol, just trying to recalibrate my expectations. My neighborhood loop is where I do my best thinking, and this question keeps tagging along.
