The night I almost quit, I chopped an onion instead

Last Tuesday I came home from a 25-minute walk with my knees complaining and a fridge full of food I didn't want to cook. The empty house was loud. I sat at the kitchen table, opened my tracking app, and thought, I am done with this whole project. Not dramatic, just tired. What kept me from quitting was a half-chopped onion already on the board from the morning. I finished it, made a pot of white bean soup, ate a bowl, and put three containers in the freezer. This isn't a victory story. My body is not handing me a gold star right now. But I noticed I still wanted the after-dinner walk, even when I didn't want to log it. I'm trying to let the routine carry me when motivation is thin. For those further along: when you feel like walking away, do you change one small thing or just wait it out?
