Eighteen pounds down this restart and my head is catching up slower

I lost 41 pounds in 2022, then gave back 33 by last winter. Restarted in late August. Today marks 18.6 down from that restart, which is good, but my brain keeps dragging me back to my lowest weight and asking why I'm not there yet.

The 10-day average is finally sloping down again after a flat stretch. What's helping: protein at lunch, a hard kitchen close at 8, and walking the dog even when I don't feel like it.

What's not helping: me stepping on the scale three times before coffee. I know this round doesn't have to erase the last one.

For people who lost and regained, how did you stop comparing every check-in to your best number?
