Five months of living out of a carry-on, and my body has developed opinions. I can make a 6 a.m. flight, clear a full day of meetings, then hit a wall so flat that the hotel desk chair feels like a luxury recliner. The food side is mostly solved—rotisserie chicken, bagged salads, protein yogurt—but by 8 p.m.
I’m staring at a cheese stick like it’s a five-course meal. My face, meanwhile, has gone dramatic: every hotel pillowcase and mystery conference soap seems to leave it red and cranky. I’m not asking for medical advice, just comparing notes.
Did anyone else’s travel routine need a mid-year edit, or is this just what five months of stale hotel air does? What’s one small thing you pack that makes road days less rough?
