My grocery tab fell faster than my weight

I keep a spreadsheet of weekly grocery totals and cost per gram of protein. Fourteen days ago I noticed my usual basket went from $186 to $149, mostly because I stopped buying two kinds of snacks and a second coffee creamer.

Same store, same list, smaller quantities. The scale moved 1.8 lbs over that stretch, but the receipt moved faster.

My pantry backlog is now the thing I track: 11 cans of tuna, 3 open bags of frozen berries, one shelf that used to be crackers. I’m not calling it a win over the scale, just a data point that my cart changed beore my body did.

Anyone else watching grocery math more than the mirror?
