My maintenance plan now has a dollar sign attached

Tbh i hit my goal last spring — 63 pounds down, and I've stayed within a three-pound range since. The part I didn't plan for was the renewal letter: my monthly cost jumped from something I could absorb to something that would bump a whole line in our budget. I'm not angry, exactly.

Mostly I'm trying to be honest that maintenance still takes effort, and the medication was part of what made the effort feel ordinary. I've kept my walks, my protein-at-breakfast habit, and my Thursday walk loop.

I'm also asking my doctor's office what paperwork options exist, because that seems smarter than guessing. For those who reached maintenance and then had to change course for cost reasons, what surprised you most in the first couple of months?

I'd rather learn from the long game than panic-buy a plan.
