Protein first: the one lever I actually track

I keep a running note in my phone that’s just protein grams and whether I lifted that day. Not glamorous, but it’s the first thing that’s made the appetite quiet feel usable instead of just… quiet. In the trials, a chunk of weight lost is lean mass, and protein plus resistance training isn’t a guarantee, but it’s the least hand-wavy lever I can pull. My loose target is 1.6 g/kg of goal weight, spread over 3 meals, because if I leave it to dinner I’m queasy and short. Greek yogurt, edamame, chicken, a scoop in coffee. I still don’t hit it every day. The scale moves slower than my brain wants, but my lifts are holding and my hunger cues are less chaotic. Curious whether others track protein first, or let the drug do the appetite work and sort out intake later?
