Scale is flat but my gym recovery feels different

I’ve been logging my morning weight for 18 days straight and every single one has landed between 172.2 and 173.8. Same food template, same walking loop after dinner.

By the old me’s math, this is a plateau. By the bodies-are-not-spreadsheets math, it might just be water, hormones, sodium, and the fact that I started lifting heavier two weeks ago.

The annoying part is that I feel better — stairs are easier, sleep is less trash — but the scale is doing its best impression of a stubborn dial. How do you tell the difference between a real stall and normal fluctuation without losing your mind?

I’m not ready to change anything yet, just trying to read the room.
