The final two pounds are treating me like a hobby

i’m 91.6 pounds down since last March, and I’ve got 2.4 to go. For the last 24 days I’ve been bouncing inside the same 1.5-pound window. Not gaining, not dropping, just hovering. I’m still doing the boring stuff: protein first, two lifting sessions, a 25-minute walk after dinner, water, sleep. Clothes keep fitting better even when the scale plays dead, so I know something is happening. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t irritated. I keep opening the app expecting a new low and getting the same number back. For people who’ve gotten close to their goal: did your last few pounds come off in a steady trickle, or did you sit in a range until one morning it just moved? I’m not looking for a magic fix, just trying to stay sane in the wait.

Night shift here. The scale lies harder when your schedule is weird.

Sharp question: are you weighing after your main sleep, or right after a run of nights? For me that’s a 2–3 lb difference until I sleep, pee, and eat normal.

Concrete thing that helped: stop chasing daily weight. Log one weekly average and one waist number at the navel, same day/time, before food. If your waist is down or flat while the scale hovers, you’re still changing. The last 2 lbs are mostly noise.

I’d hold the boring stuff steady. Add 5 minutes to the walk only if your waist stalls for 3 weeks.

What’s your waist done the last 3 weeks?
