I don't gasp at the photo; I remember how I used to angle my shoulders away from cameras and plan seating. Now I'm 20 months into maintenance, still weighing most mornings, still walking after dinner, still eating protein first.
The changes that stick out aren't visual: I can cross my legs without thinking, and I don't rehearse a pharmacy pickup. The old badge looks like a stranger, but the life around it is just mine.
