I’ve lost 41 lbs over 14 months. I still have a weekly routine, but I’m trying to treat it like training wheels, not the whole bike. My plan for later is boring on purpose: same breakfast most days, protein first at lunch, a 25-minute walk after dinner, and a Sunday check-in where I look at my 10-day weight average instead of any single morning. I also want to keep the daily weigh-in because it keeps me curious, not panicked. A 2–3 lb swing is just water, salt, sleep, hormones, whatever. The part I’m still figuring out is hunger. If the food noise comes back louder, what do I do besides white-knuckle it? For those who’ve tapered or stopped, what non-scale habit made the biggest difference in holding steady?
