Appetite came back faster than my post-op energy

I paused my GLP-1 two weeks ago for a planned procedure, following my clinician’s instructions. The first few days were mostly fatigue and soup.

Now my energy is still low, but my appetite has returned with a vengeance. Last night, after a normal dinner, I ate two slices of toast with peanut butter while cleaning the kitchen, then started negotiating with myself about a third.

I have kept a weekly average since last spring, and this week is tracking around 1,900 calories versus my usual 1,550. I am not panicking, but the mental noise is disorienting.

I keep telling myself that healing takes fuel and that this pause is temporary. I am focusing on protein at breakfast, regular meals, and a short walk once I am cleared.

If you have had a treatment pause for surgery, how did you keep your footing without white-knuckling every meal?
