Feeding two kids first reshaped what my own plate looks like

Breakfast is a shake I drink standing at the counter while packing two lunchboxes. Lunch is leftovers if I'm home, or a turkey roll-up and an apple if I'm not. Dinner is the wild card. The kids eat around 5:30 (nuggets, pasta, whatever won't start a riot) and I used to eat my own food after they went down, standing up, while wiping counters. Lately I've been plating my portion before I start cleaning. That one change killed a lot of mindless bites.

My snack drawer is still the weak spot. I swapped chips for string cheese and the kids' fruit pouches, which sounds pathetic but works. Around 9pm I want something crunchy, so almonds go in a little cup instead of me hovering over the bag.

So roughly: shake, leftovers or a roll-up, a real plate after bedtime, two snacks. Nothing impressive. What does your weekday look like when you're cooking for other people too?
