My first target landed on a chaotic lunch shift

I run a small food spot, so most shifts are a parade of samples, scraps, and “just one bite” moments. Last summer I was 331 and couldn’t tie my apron without holding my breath. This morning the scale said 254. Not the finish line, just the first target I set with my doctor. It happened on a Tuesday after I’d already tasted three batches of soup and talked myself out of a fourth. I didn’t feel fireworks. I felt normal enough to get back to prep. The real change is I box up a real lunch before the rush instead of grazing through it. Still hard when the day ends and there’s leftover banana bread on the counter. For those of you near your first goal: did the day feel anticlimactic too?
