Anybody else have the sweet tooth pack up and move out, while that afternoon dragging feeling just stayed put? I'm about six weeks in, and the strangest part is I walked right past the marked-down Easter candy at our little IGA and felt nothing.
Grabbed my coffee creamer and headed to the register like it was a normal Tuesday. My husband keeps a sleeve of oatmeal creme pies in the truck and I haven't touched a single one, which back in January would've been a genuine miracle.
But here's what I can't figure out. Around 3 p.m. at the pharmacy counter I still get that foggy, want-something-now feeling. It just isn't sugar anymore.
I tried a cheese stick and a big glass of water and it helped a little. So now I'm sitting here wondering what my body is actually asking for. Protein? A lap around the block? A nap I can't take?
Insurance moved my refill to a 90-day and the tech told me to call ahead next time, so I'm still learning the rhythm of all this. Mostly I'm just curious whether the craving swap-out happened for anyone else, or if it's only me noticing the quiet.
