Fourteen months in, down about 62 pounds, size 18 to a 12 — and the strangest shift isn't the weight at all. It's how loud food got. Not cravings, kind of the opposite. I walked past a bakery last week and the smell of frosting hit me like a wall, almost unpleasant. Same with the office candy bowl, which I used to not even register. There was a thread last spring about food noise going quiet, and I nodded along at the time, but this feels like a different flavor of it — my nose turned the volume up while my appetite turned it down.
Also, I'm cold constantly. Bought a space heater in July. My husband finds this hilarious and brings it up at dinner parties.
Anyone else have their senses go sideways on them, or am I just finally noticing things I walked past for years?
