I deleted the counterfactual simulator from my head

I used to spend every flat stretch running alternate timelines: if I had started earlier, if I had skipped that weekend, if I had picked different macros. Now I keep a two-line decision log.

Choice, reason, next checkpoint. Last month it showed the only input that actually moved my seven-day trend was sleep, not the 300-calorie regret I kept replaying.

So I stopped re-running the simulation and started protecting the input. The spreadsheet is calmer. The brain is quieter. Anyone else keep a log to stop the rearview math?
