Two BMI brackets later, the vocabulary hasn't caught up

My clinic chart used to have a scary word in front of 'obesity.' Last spring my BMI was in the low 40s; at yesterday's check-in it read 29.7. So now I'm technically in the overweight bracket, and I keep waiting to feel like this is a different person's chart.

The weird part is how little the label changed my daily routine: same protein target, same Thursday walk, same logbook. I'm not dismissing the milestone — my knees and sleep are genuinely better — but I'm skeptical of treating a BMI cutoff like a finish line.

For people who crossed from one category to another, did you adjust your maintenance rules at all, or just keep the same boring system and let the category catch up later?
