I’m not in a panic, just trying to be less reactive this year. Last January I placed an order on the 18th, and it sat for 11 days before moving; my usual wait had been 6–8 days.
I keep a plain note on my phone with order date, ship date, and arrival, so I can see the pattern instead of guessing. I have about five weeks of buffer right now, but I’m wondering whether to add two weeks before the holiday shutdowns start.
For those who’ve watched this a few years, do delays usually hit before or after the actual holiday? And do smaller supply orders get held up longer than bigger ones?
Not looking for vendor recs—just trying to calibrate my own patience and timing.
