Cold chicken now smells like a metal spoon

Honestly, i did not expect a food aversion to arrive this late. For about ten days, cold chicken - especially the kind I used to batch-cook on Sundays - has smelled faintly metallic to me.

The first time, I thought the container was off; the second, my husband tried it and said it was fine. I can still eat it warm with sauce, but the cold leftovers go untouched.

My weekly averages have not moved much, so this is less about the scale and more about figuring out what my body wants me to pack for lunch. I’m trying turkey and cottage cheese instead, though neither feels neutral yet.

Has anyone else had a safe food turn on them without warning?
