My after-dinner walk became the hinge of the day

I started this in February 2025, not as a big project but because the house got too quiet after our youngest moved out. My last check-in had me down 125, though the number I trust more is the twenty-minute loop after dinner. I used to sit and graze while the dishes waited. Now I put on shoes, leave my phone on the counter, and walk past the same three dogs and one very opinionated sprinkler. I come home wanting tea or an orange instead of another handful of crackers. Still learning to cook for two again; I made a pot of minestrone meant to last three days and finished it in two. Not complaining. Curious whether anyone else found one small habit that quietly rearranged the rest of their day?
