I rewrote my Sunday check-in to ask about walks, not math

I’m 14 weeks into this empty-nester reboot, kids gone, kitchen finally mine. The first thing I did was build a little calculator for my weekly check-in. It only asked for numbers. I got tired of opening it and feeling judged by math. So I rewrote it with four prompts instead: Did I take the 20-minute walk after breakfast? Did I cook one real meal, even if it was just soup? Did I drink water before supper? Was I actually hungry, or just restless because the house got quiet? I’m not anti-tracking; it helped me early on. But the scale has been flat for a month, and the thing that actually changed was my evenings. I stopped treating the calculator like an oracle and started using it as a mirror. What’s the one question your tracker never asks you?
