I noticed it in the shower first — my hand used to come away with what felt like a small animal, and by late winter it was maybe six or seven strands. Same shampoo, same towel, same lukewarm water because our building's boiler has opinions.
What actually changed: I stopped treating protein like a garnish. Two eggs at breakfast, a real scoop at lunch, and a bag of almonds in my desk drawer so I don't arrive somewhere hungry and eat pastry crumbs standing over the counter. Also quit ripping a brush through wet hair, which sounds obvious and took me an embarrassingly long time to learn.
My ponytail is still thinner than it was two years ago, so I'm not claiming a miracle. But the drain isn't scary anymore, and my part doesn't look like a landing strip under the overhead light at the pharmacy.
Curious whether anyone else's shedding calmed down before the scale did, or if mine is just the protein talking.
