Peptides aren't new, so why is my feed acting like they are?

I'm 54, the kids are launched, and I've been walking the same two-mile loop after breakfast while learning to cook with actual spices instead of just salt. The odd thing: every podcast and feed is suddenly talking about peptides like they were invented last year.

I remember a physical therapist mentioning them to a running buddy maybe fifteen years ago, and an old nutrition textbook at a used book sale had a chapter on them. So why now? Is it delivery, marketing, telehealth, or just that the culture caught up?

I'm not chasing anything, just curious from the cooking-and-walking sidelines. What made you first hear about them?
