A year apart in my own notes, and the quiet parts differ

I keep a tiny note on my phone: after meals, how my body feels, sleep, whether I want to keep going or lie down. Comparing entries from this month to the same month last year, the scale isn't the part that surprises me. A year ago I rated most afternoons a 3/10 for energy and needed a long sit after groceries. Today I'm at 6 or 7/10 most days, and I can carry two bags up the back steps without my heart pounding. I still track because I'm cautious; I don't want to miss a signal that something's off. Weight is down 29 pounds, but the steadier thing is that I notice hunger and fullness before they become urgent. I'm curious: for those further along, which body signal showed up first for you — energy, sleep, or mood?

This hits me. I run a cafe, so my whole day is little bites and taste tests, and my old notes were basically “3pm = horizontal.” What finally made my note useful was adding one column: what I actually did in the 30 minutes after eating. Not a rating—just “drove,” “stood at counter,” “sat and scrolled.” Looking back, the shift wasn’t that I felt amazing; it was that I stopped needing the emergency sit after the lunch rush. Do you track what you’re doing after meals, or just how you feel? For me the action column explained the energy scores better than sleep did.
