Fifteen months of daily dots and the math agrees

I weigh every morning in the same order: bathroom, scale, log it, close the app. Somewhere around month seven the number itself stopped being the point — the weekly average is the thing I actually watch now.

This morning that average landed at 168.4, inside the band I picked for myself when I started (165–170). Fifteen months of dots to get here. Some weeks it dropped 0.2. Plenty of weeks it went up 0.8, and I just logged it and made coffee. Flat stretches used to wreck my mood; now they mostly register as noise, the same way a single rainy day doesn't rewrite the season.

What surprised me is that the day felt like a Tuesday. No confetti, no big speech. The only real tell was climbing the stairs to my office without pausing on the landing, which is a kind of data too.

If you're in the middle of a stubborn stretch right now: the trend line is slow and boring on purpose. That's the feature, not a sign you're doing it wrong.

Genuinely curious — when you got where you were headed, did it feel like an event, or just another morning reading?
