I've been around this forum for three years and mostly read the long-timer check-ins now. My highest weight is far behind me — I crossed the 200-pound mark down a while back — but the update I actually care about is smaller: I swam 20 laps on Sunday and then ate a normal dinner instead of treating it like a reward. In the early days I tracked every ounce of effort. These days my routine is three things I don't negotiate: a morning walk, water before coffee, and an early bedtime. The scale mostly bores me. What still sneaks up is the mental adjustment — normal days feel suspicious. For people further out, did the suspicious feeling fade, or did you just get better at ignoring it? I know this isn't the flashy kind of post, but the quiet version is the one I needed to read years ago.
My maintenance phase is less dramatic and more repeatable
