Stalled three weeks one kilo from the milestone

For what it's worth, I've been around here for about three years, mostly lurking in the weekly check-in threads. Six months ago I started at 130 kg. This morning the scale said 99 kg, which is the first time I've seen a 9 in front since I can't remember when. The last three weeks have been a slog, bouncing between 100 and 101. I've been doing 30-minute walks after dinner, keeping protein at breakfast, and logging most days. Shirts went from 3XL to XL, and I finally fit into a pair of 44 waist jeans I bought on a whim last year. I know stalls happen, but hitting one right before the milestone was annoying. For those who've been at this a while, how do you stay patient when the scale acts stuck? I'm trying to trust the long view and keep pushing.

yo the 9 is huge. i stalled at 100.4 for like 3 weeks too. what finally moved it for me was actually logging my late-night gaming snacks instead of eyeballing them. i was smashing pretzels/chips at 1am and calling it “whatever.” tracked sodium for a week and game nihts were like 5k. did

Night shift screws the scale. I stopped weighing after work. Now I weigh after my main sleep, before coffee, after bathroom. Same clothes. Also checked sodium. My “healthy” pre-made shift salad was 1400mg. Cut it, dropped 1.2kg of water in four days. Three weeks at the same number is usually water and gut, not fat. What time of day are you weighing? And are you eating during the shift? That was my hidden pile of calories.

Three weeks bouncing between 100 and 101 after 30 kg down — brutal, but have you measured your waist lately? I stalled for a month right before my first big milestone and the scale sat frozen while my belt went in two notches. Turned out I was holding water from a new strength routine plus garbage sleep, and the drop showed up all at once. What changed in your last three weeks versus the month before — training, salt, stress, sleep? Sometimes a plateau is just recomp wearing a disguise. Also worth checking: same time, same conditions every weigh-in? One salty dinner can hide a kilo for days.

Hi and welcome to posting—I’m literally day 5, so I’m the last person with answers, but I’m already nervous about my first stall. Congratulations on the 9! During those three weeks, did anything besides the scale change—like waist measurements, rings, or how your clothes sat? I’m trying to train myself to track that now so a plateau doesn’t wreck me. Also, was the 30-minute thing daily or a few times a week? Just curious what a normal week looks like for you. No pressure to answer—I’m just taking notes.

Data point: after ~30 kg down, a 3-week flatline at 100–101 is often water/glycogen masking fat loss, not a true stall. Are you comparing 7-day averages or single mornings? If single, weigh daily and look at weekly means. Also audit sodium/carb timing, constipation, sleep debt, and whether training volume changed 3 weeks ago—new activity can hold water. What changed at the same time the scale flattened? That’s the variable I’d check before changing anything.
