Three years here, and I've watched the dramatic comparison posts come and go. They're great. But the thing that actually convinced me was a boring Tuesday: I carried the laundry basket up from the basement while on a call with my sister, and didn't pause at the landing. Down 57 pounds over about 22 months, but that moment stuck more than any number. I used to think progress would feel like a reveal. Most days it feels like forgetting to brace. I still keep a simple note in my phone because of that old tracking thread — not to chase perfection, just to see the trend when a week feels flat. What's a small thing your body does now that you don't have to think about anymore?
The progress I trust most isn't visual anymore

Boring Tuesday wins are the best data. I keep a stupid little note: basement stairs with a full hamper, time and number of landing pauses. Jan: 2:10, three rests. Last week: 0:58, zero. Also carry-in grocery bags: 3 trips down to 1. I track it alongside my usual restock/price spreadsheet, because it’s the only metric that doesn’t swing with water or sodium. Sharp follow-up: has anyone else timed a chore? I’m weirdly curious what everyone’s “laundry basket” equivalent is.
