The tasting spoon is where my portions get sneaky

I hit my goal weight in April after 14 months. The scale part was almost tidy. The weird part is now: I still taste everything I make for the case—soup, frosting, a new scone—and those bites don't feel like eating. Last Tuesday I counted 11 little tastes before noon. None were hunger. They were quality control. Now I keep a mug of water on the prep counter and finish it before any taste. If I really need to check seasoning, I put a spoonful on a small plate and sit down. Some days I still hover near the pastry tray. Maintenance feels less like a finish line and more like a hundred tiny decisions. Anyone else who works around food had to build weird little rules like this?
