My Sunday averages have moved in the right direction for four months, and I am grateful. What surprises me is how loud the mental accounting still is. I plan lunch while eating breakfast, estimate protein before I taste anything, and catch myself checking my reflection between chores. None of it feels frantic, exactly, but it takes up space. Last night I realized I had opened my notes app three times just to reread the same weekly number. I would like to keep the habits that work without letting every meal become a calculation. For those further along, did the background math ever soften? Was it time, a change in what you tracked, or something else that helped it fade?
