Do you keep tracking through flat, uneventful weeks?

I have kept a simple Sunday spreadsheet since January. For eight Sundays in a row, my weekly average moved only 0.1 to 0.3 pounds, while my hunger was steady and my meals felt ordinary. Part of me wanted to skip the entry because it seemed pointless. I logged anyway: sleep, water, protein, and whether I took a walk after dinner. Now I am glad I did, because those flat weeks show what my normal looks like, not a failure. They also made the next small change easier to notice. For those of you who track weekly averages, do you still record the uneventful stretches, or do you give yourself a break from the spreadsheet?

Flat weeks are just the system idling; keep the log, skip the drama.

Eight flat Sundays would've had me spiraling last time. This time I added a monthly waist measurement at my belly button and a "same jeans" Sunday check, because the scale can sit still while my body is clearly shifting. I also track energy 1–5 and whether I woke up hungry. Weirdly, my flat stretches usually line up with crappy sleep, not food. Did any of your columns end up explaining yours, or did it just stay flat for no obvious reason?

Fellow cafe owner here—flat weeks feel pointless, but those boring entries are the real receipts.

Tbh love that you logged anyway. Flat weeks used to mess wth my head until I added one non-scale column: how my jeans fit and whether I could do 10 push-ups without stopping. One stretch looked boring on the scale for a month, but my waist stayed down and my afternoon energy was way better. Now I only judge a week

The flat weeks are sneaky—they’re where the habits actually get built. Glad you logged anyway.
