An ordinary supermarket trip did not require a game plan

I stopped at a standard neighborhood supermarket after work yesterday, the kind with fluorescent lights and one long checkout line. For a long time, that errand meant negotiating with myself in every aisle.

This time I picked up a rotisserie chicken, a bag of salad greens, and two single-serve yogurts. I noticed I did not linger near the bakery or talk myself out of snacks.

At home I made a normal plate, felt full at a gentle point, and put the rest away without replaying the trip. My weekly average has moved down 0.4 lb over the last two weeks, which feels quiet but real.

I am not calling it a triumph. It is just nice when an ordinary store feels ordinary again.

Has anyone else had a routine errand get easier without a big moment attached?
