Eating dessert on a Tuesday and not calling it a last supper

Coworker offered me half the carrot cake in the break room and I said yes without running a whole negotiation in my head first. That used to be impossible. Dessert came with a debate and a vague promise to do better next week.

I still weigh every morning. I also know a slice of cake shows up as water and maybe a 0.3 kg bump that's gone by Thursday. My weekly number has drifted down about 0.4 kg for most of this year, and a Tuesday dessert has never been the thing that moved it.

So I'm not starting tomorrow. I started months ago, and tonight is one point in a long, boring line that I actually trust now. Scale in the morning, coffee, normal day.

Does anyone else find the food easier to enjoy once you stop framing it as the last time you'll ever have it?
