I track weekly averages rather than daily weights, and this week the page showed 0.6 pounds lower than my prior four-week average. That was pleasant, but the more surprising change happened at the sink.
My wedding band, a size 8 that used to sit snugly, now spins when my hands are wet and slips over my knuckle with almost no resistance. I nearly lost it down the drain, which made me laugh and then feel a little sentimental.
I am not ready to resize it yet because I still have some pounds I would like to release, but I did move it to my right hand for safekeeping. It is odd how progress can show up somewhere I was not measuring.
