The price sheet abbreviations beat me twice this week

Two kids, two school runs, and a kitchen counter that turns into a paperwork graveyard by 7pm. Last night I finally sat down with a group order spreadsheet someone forwarded me, and it was nothing but codes. KIT. VIAL. 10X10.

Something that looked like a typo in a font I already hate. I had my own shorthand in a phone noe from three weeks back, and the two lists didn't line up at all.

Spent about 35 minutes cross-referencing rows, got one item wrong in my head, redid it, then shut the laptop. The snack drawer got rebuilt during the same sitting, because that's apparently my coping mechanism now.

Almonds to the front, crackers to the back, kids' fruit snacks exiled to the top shelf where I need a chair to reach them. I know shorthand saves space. My brain is already split four ways by 8am though.

Does anyone keep a plain-English key for these lists, or do you just absorb the codes after a few rounds?
