My waist tape disagrees with this month's flat trend

Month seven on a GLP-1, and my weight has hovered inside a 1.8-lb band for nineteen days. Appetite is still noticeably muted, just not gone, and my portions haven't crept back up.

So this doesn't feel like the white-knuckle plateaus I had before medication; it feels more like the scale and my body are taking separate routes. In the trials, weight loss wasn't linear, and I keep reminding myself that a plateau isn't failure.

I started tracking waist and hip measurements out of curiosity. Waist is down about 0.75 inch during the same nineteen days, which is the only reason I'm not spiraling.

Sleep and step count are basically unchanged, so I don't have a neat explanation. Could be water, glycogen, measuring error, or actual recomposition.

Curious what non-scale signal you trust when the graph goes horizontal? Maybe someone else has had tape measurements move while weight sat still.
