I weigh every morning, but I used to treat each tiny rise as proof my timing was off. For two weeks I logged morning weights next to rough notes on when I last took my weekly med, trying to see the curve in the noise. It didn’t work.
A salty dinner, a bad night of sleep, or a hard workout would wipe out any pattern I thought I’d found. What helped was widening the lens: my 10-day average has drifted down 1.4 lb while the daily number has bounced inside a 2-lb range.
That range is not failure; it’s just the cost of having a body. Now I check the trend on Sundays, keep the daily weigh-in as data, and don’t ask one morning to explain the whole week.
Anyone else find their trend line gets calmer when they stop trying to reverse-engineer every blip?
