The routine survived the novelty and the night shifts

posted this for the lurkers. I work nights. Twelve months pushing the scale down. Last three months just holding. No big reveal. Same groceries, same walking route, same Tupperware.

I weigh in Sundays after sleep, not daily. Appetite is quieter but not gone. Cravings show up around 3 a.m. if I skip my real meal. I keep a frozen burrito and a bag of grapes at work.

That combo killed most vending machine trips. Down 58 pounds. Maintenance is less exciting than I expected. The scale moves two pounds either way and I don't panic. I still log protein because I forget to eat on shift.

The old me would've called this boring. Fine. Boring is cheap and repeatable. Anyone else find maintenance feels more like scheduling than willpower?
