Tracked craving intensity daily for a month, curve isn't what I expected

I added a column to my sheet on day one: craving score 0-5, logged at 8pm, sitting right next to protein grams and step count. Thirty-one rows later the mean is 2.1, which sounds like a win until you look at the shape instead of the average.

Weeks three and four sat around 1.4. Week two had three separate 4s and one 4.8, and every one of those landed on a day I'd gone under 90g protein and slept under six hours.

Two of the spikes were pure smell — someone microwaved cinnamon rolls in the break room and my whole afternoon got loud for no reason I could argue with.

What I don't buy is the "cravings disappear" line. Mine didn't leave. It got quieter and more explainable.

The background noise dropped maybe 60%, but the signal is still there and still tracks my sleep almost too neatly. Honestly the predictable part irritates me more than the craving did, because now I can't blame mystery.

Anyone else logging this? I want to know if the spikes cluster around short sleep for you too, or if that's just my 31 rows talking.
