Alcohol went from habit to a line item I skip

Not a warning post, just a data point. I used to have two beers on Friday while dinner cooked — automatic, zero thought, no decisions required.

Somewhere around month three that routine broke on its own. The first one took 40 minutes to finish and went flat in the glass.

The second got poured out of habit and dumped 20 minutes later.

The fridge still holds four bottles from a birthday in May. That's the entire story. No cravings to fight, no willpower spent. The reward just stopped clearing its own cost.

Curious whether others saw the same quiet deletion, or whether it crept back later in maintenance. Did anything actually replace the ritual, or did the whole slot just close?
