For what it's worth, Same jacket, same lamppost, same time of day — reproducibility matters when your only measurement instrument is a phone camera. Twelve weeks in, down 21 pounds and one belt notch, but the visible delta is mostly in my face and how the jacket collar sits. My wife says the photo isn't scientific. She's right: the light changed and I was shivering, so my shoulders are up around my ears like I'm being interrogated.
Still, the data's the data. I weigh daily, measure waist weekly, take photos monthly. The tape measure is more honest than the mirror, and way more honest than my mood at 6 a.m.
Small win: no 3 p.m. snack for the first time all week. That's a system change, not willpower — I moved protein earlier and killed the crash.
Anyone else find side-by-side photos kind of useless until you control the variables, or is that just me optimizing the fun out of it?
