My four-week rate column keeps me honest

I do daily weights but I don’t judge the number until it’s averaged. My sheet has a date column, a weekly average, and one rolling four-week rate cell I check on Sundays.

Last stretch: the scale sat basically flat for 5 weeks, total movement 0.6 lb, but the rate cell showed 0.2–0.3 lb/week, which matched my waist tape and how my workouts felt. It stopped me from making a dumb all-or-nothing change just because Tuesday looked bad.

The habit is boring: same time, same scale, log it, close the tab. My rule is I only act on the four-week number, not a single morning.

Anyone else use a rolling average, or do you keep it simpler?
