New triple-receptor talk is interesting; my log still votes boring

I keep seeing articles about a triple hormone receptor agonist for obesity, and my brain immediately wants to calculate whether it would be “better” than what I’m doing. But I’ve been burned by novelty before: back in April I changed three things because of a podcast, and my trend line got choppy for a month. Now I weigh every morning, plug it into a spreadsheet, and mostly look at the 7-day average. This morning: 183.4 lb, up 0.6 from yesterday after late popcorn, while my weekly average is still down 0.4. That’s the whole game for me. I’m not against new options; I just don’t want every new mechanism to become a referendum on my current plan. For other daily weighers: what helps you separate real signal from excitement noise when something new starts trending?
