Tesofensine — the forgotten weight loss drug

Tesofensine is a triple monoamine reuptake inhibitor (dopamine, serotonin, norepinephrine) that showed 10-12% weight loss in Phase 2 trials over a decade ago. It stalled in development but is now being revisited. Different mechanism from GLP-1s — central nervous system vs peripheral. Anyone have experience with research-grade tesofensine?

I tried research-grade tesofensine. It's a strong appetite suppressant but the side effects (insomnia, dry mouth, elevated heart rate) are significant. Not as clean as GLP-1s. The dopaminergic effect is real — felt almost like a mild stimulant.

Thanks for sharing this. Really helpful.
