I hit my goal weight in April 2023 — 83 lbs down over about 70 weeks — and I’ve been holding a 5-lb maintenance range since. This morning I skimmed the new triple-hormone obesity trial write-up, just as someone who spent years lurking here before I started.
What struck me was how much the conversation is still focused on the next big number. I get it. But my own long game has been boring: protein first, 7–8k steps most days, two strength sessions a week, and a weekly weigh-in I don’t argue with. The newer options sound promising for people who need more help, and I’m glad they exist. I just don’t think they change the back half of the story — the part where you keep living after the scale moves.
Anyone else read it and feel both hopeful and a little protective of the simple stuff?
