Trying to pick between Disguisedalpha and another supplier for my next round of lab work, so I'm digging through disguisedalpha.com. What I can find online shows a product catalog, published prices, shipping info, and COA documents, which is already more than some vendors put out there. Before I order anything, though, two things I'd want cleared up: Does every item in the catalog come with a batch-specific COA? And are those PDFs from an accredited third-party lab, with the method, instrument, and sample ID spelled out? A COA that's just a purity number on a page doesn't tell me much. Also wondering if the published prices are actually current. Anyone here ordered from them? Would rather hear it from people in this forum than guess.
Disguisedalpha recent order experiences, share what you're seeing
I checked their site last week. COAs are listed per batch, but not every catalog item. A few PDFs had method and instrument, sample ID was redacted on one. Worth asking before ordering.
Redacted sample ID? That’s a yellow flag for me. If they won’t share the full lab report, I’d assume it’s either old or not batch-specific.
Prices moved since January, I think. Their shipping page still says 3-5 days domestic, but I waited nine. Not a dealbreaker, just plan buffer.
COA or it didn’t happen, plain and simple.
I emailed them about the accredited third-party lab. They replied with lab name and ISO number, but said PDFs for some items are ‘coming soon.’ That’s not the same as every batch.
Tuesday I printed their catalog and highlighted missing COAs. Twelve items had no batch link. I’m not ordering until that changes.
My lab guy says method and instrument details matter more than a pretty logo. If the PDF lacks HPLC or LC-MS conditions, it’s just a receipt.
Prices? I see one item up 12% since last quarter. Shipping info says free over $150, but checkout added $18. So published prices aren’t fully current.
I’d ask for a sample COA from the exact batch you’ll receive, then verify the lab’s accreditation directly. Slow, but cheaper than guessing.
I keep a stupid-simple note on my phone: time, hunger, sleep, whether the snack drawer got raided. Two kids means chaos, so patterns matter more than a pretty catalog. For Disguisedalpha folks—how’s actual delivery timing lately? I can handle a wait, but not “label created” for five days with no movement. And does it arrive discreet enough for a porch where kids grab everything? Those are my two make-or-break questions.
Batch-specific COA or I wait — got burned once by a generic PDF.
Before I'd order from them, I'd want to know how they handle a missing/lost shipment—replacement, reship fee, or just “file a claim”? That bit me with a different vendor. Unrelated, but for the plateau: I stopped daily weigh-ins and do weekly waist + progress pics. Scale sat still for almost a month while my belt notch moved. Keeps me from losing it.
Batch-specific COA is the hil I die on — watched a whole thread learn that the hard way last spring.
Honestly, i’ve been doing the empty-nester reset too—evening walks, actually using the good pans. My weird tracking habit is a photo folder: delivery box, cold pack, and an arrival temp with a cheap probe. COAs tell me what’s in there, but not whether it sat in a hot truck. Has anyone actually checked Disguisedalpha’s cold-chain on arrival—still cool, gel packs mostly solid, or just “cool-ish”? That’s the missing piece for me before I’d switch.
I keep a boring spreadsheet for this: listed price, checkout date, label-created date, first scan, delivery. Last two orders from another vendor sat in “label created” for 4 days, so the published shipping window meant nothing. For Disguisedalpha, has anyone seen whether they split an order if one item’s out of stock, or hold the whole thing? That’s the number I care about—if they hold, my lab timing slips. Also, does the checkout total change after you pick
ngl my dealbreaker is whether it’s signature required. i’m usually deep in a ranked match when the mail hits, so a “sorry we missed you” slip is my villain origin story. does DA stuff usually fit a normal mailbox or get held at the PO? also curious if tracking ever goes weird for a few days before it actually moves. that’s the kind of stuff i check before committing, more than a pretty catalog.
Small thing, but I’ve learned to track the unglamorous stuff: carrier, where it was left (front desk vs. door), and whether the outer box was intact. My building just changed package hours, so carrier matters more than a polished site. If it sits on a hot porch all afternoon in July, that’s a hard pass for me. Does anyone know which carrier Disguisedalpha uses, or is it whatever’s cheapest? That’s the kind of detail I’d want before choosing between them.
one thing I’ve started doing since my reset: I take a quick photo of the shipping label next to the product label before I break down the box. Sounds nerdy, but three months later I can actually match a batch to how my walks felt that month. Sharp question: does the COA archive let you search by lot number, or do you have to dig through old emails? That’s the detail that usually tips me toward one supplier over another—especially if I’m comparing before labs.
I’d want lot-specific COAs and a label-to-PDF lot match. Generic catalog COAs are decorative. I also log thermal excursion—ice pack condition, temp strip, packaging integrity—because that’s the part vendors hope you ignore. If they can’t confirm batch traceability in writing, that’s a hard pass. Did you get a clear yes/no on that, or just a COA folder link?
I swear label-to-PDF lot match is my new crossword puzzle. 😂
One thing I’ve started asking is whether the COA includes sterility/endotoxin, not just purity. I can match lots all day, but if that panel isn’t there I’m not comfortable. Also, does their shipping use a temperature-stable pack, or is it just a bubble mailer? My last order sat in a hot truck for two days and I never got a clear answer. If you hear back on either, I’d love to know—I’m comparing them for the same reason.
Cafe owner here—my kitchen scale is basically a personality trait, and
Tbh the label-to-PDF lot match is my personal boss battle; generic COAs don’t cut it.
Label-to-PDF lot match is my villain origin story too 😂
cOA is table stakes. The next filter I’d apply: do they publish lot release
I’m on a brutal plateau too, so I’ve started tracking vendor stuff like it’s a habit streak: order date, tracking-live date, delivery day, and whether a pre-sale email gets a real reply within 24 hours. That’s my new tiebreaker. If their contact form is a black hole, I’m out. Sharp question for anyone who’s ordered recently: did tracking actually go live within 48 hours, or did it sit on “label created” for days? That delay would wreck my already thin patience.
