Hi everyone, I'm brand new here and only in my first week, so please excuse a nervous little question. The one rule I made for myself is to fill a 16-ounce glass of water before I take any food out, and I sip half of it while I'm getting dinner ready.
That sounds almost too simple, but it interrupts the standing-at-the-counter nibbling I used to do while cooking. Tonight I actually sat down with a normal plate, ate slowly, and then put the leftovers away without much back-and-forth.
I'm not trying to be strict with myself; I just wanted one calm cue I can repeat. Has anyone else found a tiny before-meal habit that made evenings feel less scattered? Thank you for having me.
